Hamdan bin Mohammed issues Resolution on announcement of official holidays in Dubai

Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum issued Executive Council Resolution No. (14) of 2018 pertaining to the announcement of official holidays in Dubai.

Pursuant to the Resolution, Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) is the only entity authorised to announce Dubai Government’s official holidays according to the announcements issued by federal authorities. In its announcement, DGHR will specify the dates and duration of official holidays.

The DGHR Director General is authorised to issue the bylaws required to implement this Resolution. This Resolution annuls any other legislation that contradicts or challenges its articles. The Resolution is valid from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
